The Jubilee Door of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral officially closed today, a week before the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year of Mercy ends on November 20.

Located at the left portion of the cathedral, Catholics going through the “Holy Door” evokes passage from sin to grace, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma said.

Palma, who officiated the Mass and presided over the closure ceremonies, said entering the Jubilee Year of Mercy is a celebration of God’s mercy and His merciful ways.
