UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) edged out University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in a thrilling shootout, 7-6, to capture the men’s title of the Cesafi football tournament at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).

The two teams got into a physical and intense showdown in a match that needed two extensions to decide the winner.

Playing tough defense, neither team scored a goal in regulation and extension periods.

Terrence Colminares, USC’s goal keeper, went home with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
