One died while six persons were arrested in an aborted drug bust by Naga City police at Sitio Mohon, Barangay Langtad in Naga City at 4 am Thursday.
Ruben Mag-usara Cabagti, a 28-year-old resident of barangay Sangat, San Fernando town died after being shot by police when he warned their target Elmer Generana to escape.
Supt. Gregorio Galsem, Naga City police chief, said Cabagti saw the police coming and shouted to Generana to escape while he fired shots at the raiding team and they fired back.
Cabagti died at the Minglanilla district hospital while the police arrested Generana and suspected drug runners identified as Mic Kent Alisna 25, his brothers Melvin Alisna 23 and Norberto Alisna 18, Jendy Abaquita 40, Jerome Dequiña 22 of Barangay Inuburan, Naga City and a 16-year-old boy.
Galsem said they confiscated shabu worth P30,000 drug paraphernalia, P2,320 in drug proceeds and one revolver.
