JERRY Castroverde of the Omega Boxing Gym failed in his campaign abroad as he succumbed to a fourth-round technical knockout loss to Russian Shavkat Rakhimov last Friday in DIVS, Ekatirenburg, Russia.

The win netted Rakhimov the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Youth Intercontinental super featherweight title while staying unbeaten in seven fights. He now has five knockout wins.

Castroverde fell to (9W-4L-7 Kos) after he decided to quit after four rounds.

Castroverde’s trainer Jingjing Tepora said his ward failed to adjust to the place’s cold weather.

“He’s nose has been bleeding prior to the fight because of the cold weather. After four round, he had a hard time breathing already,” said Tepora.
