MORE than five years since the last episode of the hit local supernatural series “Imortal” aired on primetime television, Kapamilya Network gears up for the third installment of the fantasy franchise next year.
At ABS-CBN’s trade event last Tuesday (Nov. 22) night, it was announced that Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo will star the fantaserye “La Luna
Sangre.”
It is a sequel to “Lobo” that was top-billed by Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual, and “Imortal” that starred Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz.
The series started in 2008.
During the event, a teaser for “La Luna Sangre” was shown hinting at Padilla and Bernardo’s roles. Bernardo’s character appears to have the power to bring animals back to life, while Padilla represents a potential love interest.
This, as the loveteam has earlier promised fans that they are ready to take on more mature roles compared to the ones they have played.
“La Luna Sangre” will set off the Kapamilya primetime offerings next year, together with another series in the making, “A Love To Last” with Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion.
