FAKE PEOPLE

Netizens lauded the initiative of Facebook and Google to ban fake news on social media platforms.

One netizen, however, wondered whether the two tech giants can do more. “Maybe they can extend the ban to fake people, too,” she said.

HAPPY OFFICIAL

A top military official was so happy about being featured in a weekly news conference in Cebu that he could not stop thanking the media personality who invited him.

He said that when his photo came out on local dailies the next day, his wife immediately told their relatives and friends about it.

FANTASTIC BREAST

Some malls in Cebu City display titles of movies currently being shown in their cinemas using block letters on sign boards, instead of taking advantage of digital marquees.

Due to lack of space, malls are forced to cut long movie titles. One example is “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” which is cut down to “Fantastic Beasts.”

One mall, however, misspelled “Fantastic Beasts” to “Fantastic Breast.”
