FORMER Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga stayed undefeated as a professional boxer after he scored fifth-round technical decision win over Rodel Kirk Pelenio Friday night in “Who’s Next?” Pro-Boxing Series 3 at the Mandaue City Cultural Sports Complex.

Barriga, a native of Danao City, northern Cebu, improved to 3W-0L-0D, while Pelenio of Ablaca Boxing Stable in Cebu City dropped to 3W-2L-1D-2KOs.

Barriga sustained a cut above the right eyebrow following a clash of heads.

Barriga was ahead in the scorecards when the fight was halted upon the recommendation of ring physician.
