8 hurt in truck accident at SRP

Eight people were injured after a Nissan cargo truck loaded with vegetables tilted and landed on its side at the South Coastal Road at the South Road Property on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) that the Cebu City Command Center received reports of the accident at 3:40 p.m.

Initial investigation showed that the the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle when the truck’s rear wheel exploded as it was cruising along the South Coastal Road.

The Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) said that five ambulances were used to transport the eight people, who were injured in the accident, to the hospital for treatment.

The CCTO said that the truck was removed from the area at around 5 p.m.
