STARS of the movies for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 went to the streets yesterday in their colorful, vibrant floats to greet their fans at the annual Parade of Stars that started at Manila City Hall and ended at Plaza Miranda last Friday.

All eight MMFF entries—“Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2,” “Die Beautiful,” “Kabisera,” “Oro,” “Saving
Sally,” “Seklusyon,” “Sunday Beauty Queen,” and “Vince & Kath & James”—participated in the kick off of the annual film festival.

Nora Aunor, Eugene Domingo, Jericho Rosales, Paolo Ballesteros, Kean Cipriano, Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia, Ronnie Alonte and Dominic Roque were among the stars who joined the parade, which began in front of the Manila City Hall at Nicanor Lopez Street.

This year’s parade had a shorter route compared to
previous years and featured smaller floats as well.

This is just one of the changes in the festival this year, which introduced a new Executive Committee and submission guidelines, among other changes.

All movies will be shown in theaters starting tomorrow.
