RUINED SHOPPING SPREE
A lady who was about to get inside the elevator in one of the buildings within the Capitol compound excitedly told her friend how happy she was that they were off early, as it meant she could spend the gift certificates she received to buy “pinaskuhan” before going home to the province.
However, her excitement quickly turned to disappoint when she realized that she left her GCs at home and the holiday traffic meant it would take hours to get them.
NO GIFT, NO CHICKEN
It was a yearly tradition of this elderly woman to visit a certain house every Christmas season.
She would bring all sorts of items like chicken to give to the family, and the family would give her “pinaskuhan.”
This year, she was about to give another chicken but changed her mind when she found out that the family was not around.
She left in a rather sour mood, telling the family’s household help that she would not leave behind her chicken because she might not get a pinaskuhan in return.
While a jeepney driver was driving, he got into an argument with his wife, who was sitting in the front seat.
The wife was rambling on and on about her husband’s transgressions when the driver, ignoring his wife, pulled over the jeepney at the entrance of a university to give a ride to several students.
And because hell has no fury like a woman scorned, the wife then immediately accused her husband of an illicit affair, saying, “Isa ana nila imong kabit mao na imong gipasakay?”
