Employees and management of Global Carrier Philippines Inc. took the challenge by participating in the Christmas tree–making contest.

It has been 16 years since the company traditionally made Christmas trees based on the themes like metallic, Chinese, native, paper, recycled materials, United Nations, Olympics and Philippine festivals, among others.

The theme for this year’s contest “Go Disney!” embodies the happiness and magic that the Christmas season brings.

“We embrace the happiness and magic at Global Carrier Philippines. Our company culture highlights the importance of learning and inspiring each other while having fun in the same way that Disney have touched the lives of many people from all walks of life from different corners of the world,” said Carmel de Pio Salvador, managing director of Global Carrier Phils. Inc.

Entries were judged based on workmanship (25%), adherence to the theme (25%), conformity with the spirit of the season (25%) and creativity (25%).

Each entry was submitted by a group of four employees of Global Carrier.
The winners were announced during the company’s Christmas party last December 17.

The first prize winner received P16,000; second got P13,000; and third went home with P10,000.

The Most Unique Entry also received a cash prize of P6,000.
