TURNABOUT IS FAIR PLAY

A female passenger got in a taxi and told the driver her destination, calling him ”tatay (father).”

“Which route is more convenient for you, nanay (mother)?” the driver, who looked like he was in his 60s, asked.

The twentysomething passenger, taken aback, asked him why he called her that. The driver replied, “You called me tatay, so I called you nanay. It only sounds fair.”

MEMO

A company receptionist received a memo from her supervisor who failed to inform his visitor that he was allowed to see him.

The visitor and official, who had yet to meet for the first time, waited for each other for 30 minutes even after having passed one another in the hallway that day.

For one reason or another, the receptionist failed to inform them both about each other’s presence.

BRIGHT LIGHTS

After spending all his life celebrating New Year and Christmas in the province, an employee finally spent the holidays in the city.

He was surprised at how loud and bright fireworks were during New Year’s, unlike in the province where it was more laid-back.

“The display here is so grand, I felt like the fireworks would get inside my window anytime,” he said.
