Former Tamaraw erupts for 50 points in City Hoops

FORMER Far Eastern University Tamaraw Joel Lee Yu exploded for a league-high 50 points as he carried the USC Elevens over the Don Bosco Alumni Caravario, 104-64, in the Tough Gear Sportswear City Hoops Basketball League at the Visayan Glass Gym in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City last Sunday.

Lee Yu scored 18 points in the first quarter alone as the Elevens built a huge 35-11 lead early on.

The Elevens would hold on to the lead to improve to 2-1 (win-loss) in the team standings.

Caravario fell to 0-3.

Rey Lepardo led Caravario with 25 markers.

The Kamayan Pilipino Home Cuisine Archers, meanwhile, trounced the Don Bosco Alumni Mertens, 65-51.

Former Southwestern University Cobra Merbien Dedace led the Archers with 23 markers as they ended the elimination round with a 3-1 slate.
Celso Colegado led the Mertens (1-2) with 22 points.
