Man critical, 2 hurt in separate attacks
A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot by two motorcycle-riding men in Danao City on Friday evening.
Christian Viloria, 26, sustained two gunshot wounds in his left leg and shoulder.
PO3 Roselo Campo Jr. of Danao City Police Station said Viloria, who was also riding a motorcycle, was going to his friend’s house on Juan Luna Street, Barangay Poblacion when waylaid and shot twice by the still unidentified assailants who were wearing masks.
Viloria was immediately brought to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) for treatment.
The police said they were looking into either personal grudge or illegal drug angle as the motive of the attack.
Meanwhile, live-in partners in Talisay City, Cebu, were stabbed by the owner of the lot that they occupy.
Axel de Vera, 30, and his live-in partner Ricky Tan, 31, were stabbed by Alberto Taghoy at around 9 p.m. last Friday.
SPO2 Yvonne Ilustrisimo of Talisay City Police Station said that De Vera and Tan were watching television inside their house in Barangay San Roque when the suspect barged in and approached De Vera from behind and punched and stabbed him.
Taghoy also stabbed Tan on his shoulder when he tried to intervene.
Police said Taghoy was under the influence of liquor during the incident.
Police are now looking into personal grudge as the motive behind the attack.
The suspect is now detained at Talisay Police Station.
