Tix for PBA All-Star Game in Lapu-Lapu selling fast
Tickets for the much-awaited PBA All-Star Game in Lapu-Lapu City sold like hot cakes in the first day of selling.
“We are advising the public to purchase tickets early. We started selling tickets only yesterday and they are selling fast,” said Emmanuel Mandaraig, the promoter of the gigantic event that will pit Gilas Pilipinas and PBA All-Star Selection on April 30 at the Hoops Dome.
Ticket prices are pegged at P2,500 (courtside), P2,000 (lower box), P1,500 (upper box), and P500 (general admission).
Mandaraig, CEO/President of Mandaraig Trustworthy Construction Corp., said tickets can be bought at his office located at the WDC Building along Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.
“We will be opening a ticket outlet at the Lapu-Lapu City Hall soon,” said Mandaraig.
The game in Lapu-Lapu will be one of the three stops of the All-Star Games. The two other games will be played in Lucena City and Cagayan de Oro City.
Lucena recently hosted Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
The PBA All-Star Selection will be spearheaded by Cebuano players June Mar Fajardo, Dondon Hontiveros, Terrence Romeo, JR Quiñahan, Ronald Tubid and Greg Slaughter.
Gilas will be led by Paul Lee, Jayson Castro, Raymond Almazan, Norbert Torres, Bradwin Guinto, Jonathan Grey, LA Revilla, Japeth Aguilar, Art dela Cruz, Calvin Abueva, Carl Bryan Cruz, Mac Belo, Kevin Ferrer, Von Pessumal, Russel Escoto, Ed Daquioag, Alfonso Gotladera, Matthew Wright, Mike Tolomia, Arnold Van Opstal, Jio Jalalon and Roger Pogoy.
Fajardo and Romeo are actually part of the Gilas pool which is preparing for the FIBA World Championship in 2019.
Mandaraig said he has yet to get a copy of of the two squads’ final lineups.
He said the Hoops Dome has already been readied for the event.
“The venue is already ready. Everything is set. We are thankful that the city government of Lapu-Lapu is very supportive,” said Mandaraig.
