A MAN was shot down in front of his four-year-old son near his home in Sitio Malinao, Barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City at 9:30 p.m. last Saturday.
Aldwin Requilme was headed home with his son on board a motorcycle driven by Rommel Pinero when they were flagged down by one of the suspects.
PO3 Joseph Rouel Cutanda of the Lapu-Lapu City police’s Homicide Section said Pinero told them that he and Requilme had just left a homeowners meeting when the incident occurred.
After stopping, the suspect’s other accomplice came out and shot Requilme from behind, hitting him on the head and body. Pinero ran away, leaving the victim’s son behind.
Pinero returned after seeing that the perpetrators were gone and took the victim’s traumatized son as he sought help from neighbors.
The Marigondon police were unable to locate the suspects. Requilme worked at the Zarina Yacht Club in Mactan.
