The Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) is now preparing for the influx of passengers during the Holy Week break.

Aside from putting tents and portable toilets, CSBT manager Joey Herrera said they will also install directional signages to guide passengers where to board buses and where to stay while waiting for their buses.

Herrera urged bus operators to have their buses checked for road worthiness to ensure the safety of passengers.

Herrera said they are also planning to implement the “no Capitol sticker, no entry” policy to prevent colorum buses from entering.

Herrera said only those buses with legitimate franchise from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will be issued Capitol stickers.

“Wala nay mga kolorum (There are no more colorums), except for those buses nga dunay (with) special permits on that day ang makasulod sa (will be able to enter the) terminal,” he added.

To avoid overcrowding, Herrera said passengers of Ceres Liner and minibuses can use the entrance gate near E-Mall, while those passengers going to Toledo City and Pinamungajan may enter the gate near the Land Transportation Office.

Herrera said they will also ask the Philippine National Police (PNP) to augment security personnel in the terminal during the Holy Week.

He said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Central Command will also deploy personnel in the area.
