THE squad of Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgar Labella handed the previously unbeaten DPWH their very first loss of the tournament with an 89-76 shellacking in the Urban Basketball League – ASPA Cup 2017 last weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

The two teams are now tied at the top with identical 7-1 (win-loss) records.

VSMMC routed Focus, 82-60, to hike its record to 5-4. Dexter Dimaano led the way with 25 points while Ivan Carubio contributed 22.

Focus remained winless in seven games.

Flour FD Cebu also registered an 88-79 win over Colt 45 to raise its record to 4-3, while dropping its victims to 3-5.

Teletech also upset MDC Solinea, 72-67, for just its second win in eight tries.
