St. Ignatius Cup volleyball gets underway

OVER 30 teams are set to vie for the crown in the seventh annual St. Ignatius Cup Volleyball Tournament, which fires off today at the Lux Oriens Gym of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

The four-day tournament will be featuring four categories: the elementary high school girls, developmental girls, elite girls and high school boys divisions.

“We are expecting at least 32 teams with eight teams in each division,” said tournament organizer Mario Sala.

Among those confirmed participating teams are the SHS-ADC Magis Eagles, Abellana National School – A and B squads, PAREF Southcrest, Canduman National High School A and B teams and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation.
