STILL ALIVE

A daughter asked her father what his plans for his 82nd birthday were. He said he always spent his birthdays at the Social Security System (SSS) office.

The daughter asked why. “To let them know I’m still alive,” he replied.

BEACH BREAK

On the first day of the weeklong Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) meetings in Cebu, delegates were asked if they would go to the beach the following day.

Most of them said no even if their hotels and meeting venues had a beach right in front of them.

The host said they’ll probably just wait until the end of the week to dip into the water.

ASEAN’S IMPORTANCE

Two friends were talking about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) meetings in Cebu from April 3 to 7.

One of them said the activity was “good” for Cebu, although he did not say why.

When his friend asked him what “Asean” stands for, he only said, “I don’t know.”
