Lapu police arrests 5, confiscates drugs worth P0.5M
Police arrested five persons and confiscated half a million worth of shabu and a firearm during four separate operations on Monday.
Elements of the Hoops Dome Police Station led by Police Senior Inspector Felix Cleopas III arrested Degamo brothers Walter, 38, and Gerald, 42, during a buy bust operation in Barangay Poblacion around 11 p.m. on Monday.
The group also confiscated P10, 000 worth of shabu from the suspects.
At around 6 p.m. of the same day, Cleopas’ group also arrested Adelino Abellanosa, 60, in Sitio Ceres, Barangay Gun-ob for the possession of P81, 420 worth of drugs.
Guilban Booc, 22, of Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Bankal was arrested in a separate operation conducted by elements of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Police Senior Inspector Joey Bicoy at around 5 p.m., Monday.
Police confiscated P354, 000 worth of shabu and a .45 caliber pistol with six live bullets from Booc’s possession.
Four hours earlier, elements of the Marigondon Police Sation arrested Ruben Tirol, 22, in Sitio Casabelle, Barangay Basak.
Tirol, a resident of Sitio Sudtunggan, Basak possessed P1, 760 worth of drugs.
