Cordova transfers 17 detainees to CPDRC

THE Cordova police precinct’s detention cell is less congested now after it transferred 17 detainees to the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) last week.

Senior Insp. Ceralde Clemente Jr., Cordova police precinct chief, said they plan to ship more prisoners to the CPDRC to make it easier for those who remain behind.

“Though there were detainees transferred, it is still congested and far from its ideal capacity,” Clemente said.

Clemente said they will still process more inmates for transfer if CPDRC is still open to accepting them.
