A LABORER was shot dead by one of five motorcycle-riding assailants who took a silver necklace from him in Sitio Camp 5, Barangay Manipis, Talisay City at 8:48 a.m. last Monday.
SPO2 Cecilio Miñoza of the Talisay City police identified the 56-year-old victim as Vitaliano Bacus Caburnay, a laborer of QM Builders and a resident of Sitio Camp 4, Talisay City.
Miñoza said Caburnay was with his co-workers when they were cornered by the assailants, one of whom stole his silver necklace while his cohorts repeatedly shot the victim. Caburnay was rushed to the Talisay District Hospital but died two hours later.
