Two men were shot dead by unidentified men on board two motorcycles at a parking lot in a supermarket across Mactan Doctors Hospital at 7 p.m. Friday.
Police identified the victims through their identification cards and their families as Salahodin Mamao and Alinor Amongan, both of legal age and residents of Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
SPO2 Allan Frederick Pantaleon of the Homicide Section said that based on witnesses’ account, the victims were inside the supermarket and were chased by four armed men who caught up with at the parking lot and shot them.
Police found 19 empty shells of .45 and 9 mm pistol from the crime scene. One private car parked in the area was hit by stray bullet.
Pantaleon said they are still investigating the motive behind the killing and trying to find leads to indentify the perpetrators.
