Two men on board a motorcycle were shot dead by suspects on board two other motorcles, at a parking lot of a supermarket fronting Mactan Doctor’s Hospital in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

According to SPO2 Allan Frederick Pantaleon, the victims were being tailed by their assailants who were riding in two motorcycles along Maximo Patalinjug Avenue heading towards Kafudoy road, who fired at them.

The victims, identified as Alinor Andingan alias Brix Daligdig and Salahodin Mamao, entered the parking lot of Savers Mart in an effort to ditch their assailants but they were cornered and the suspects fired at them several times then fled towards the parking exit in the direction of Kagudoy road.

A private vehicle parked inside the parking lot was hit by a stray bullet in the rear.

The Marigondon Police immediately responded and cordoned the area.

Police found five spent shells of .45 caliber pistol, nine spent shells of a 9mm pistol and two deformed slugs from the crime scene.

While the Homicide Police was marking the evidence, the brother of victim Mamao and the wife of victim Daligdig, together with their relatives trooped to the crime scene and insisted on retrieving the bodies of the victims.

The police could not stop the family but made them sign a waver manifesting that they are no longer interested in the preservation of the crime scene. The SOCO police who arrived later was left with nothing.
