INSTANT MILLIONAIRE
THOSE wishing to become instant millionaires should join the hunt for the two remaining Abu Sayyaf bandits, a broadcaster said last Saturday.
He argued that since the men were in no shape to fight and had no food and water after losing twice to the military and police assault, they should be easy picking for the residents to report and even catch.
“Once naa sila, i-report dayon og makolekta ang P1 million gikan kang Digong (Once they are there, report immediately so you can collect the P1 million from President Digong),” the broadcaster said.
PACKAGE DEAL
As if hiring Mocha Uson wasn’t controversial enough, President Duterte also offered jobs to Uson’s group Mocha Girls as his official “cheerleaders” during his state visit.
Netizens who were furious over Mocha’s appointment can only voice their disbelief at this new development.
But Siloy’s pal was more pragmatic, saying their hiring looks like an “all-in package deal.”
ICEBREAKER
During a seminar, a public official reminded aspiring program hosts to always prepare an “icebreaker” to avoid boring the audience.
He cited his own experience during a forum in which he noticed the audience drifting off to sleep after the speaker was allowed to drone on about his topic for an hour.
“Kon mokanta man or sayaw (Whether it’s singing or dancing it’s) fine so long as it’s tasteful,” he said.
