Dungca rules Maxxis 4×4 off-road tilt
KAPAMPANGAN Racing Team’s Edison Dungca emerged the best off-roader after logging in the fastest time in last weekend’s Maxxis 4×4 Cup Extreme Off-road Challenge at the South Road Properties (SRP).
Dungca conquered the treacherous tracks at the SRP in a total time of 11 minutes and 38 seconds to be crowned champion of the first leg. His fastest time was two minutes and 26.28 seconds in track B.
Another visiting off-roader, Red Diwa of Isabela Extreme, placed second after logging a total time of 12 minutes and 43.24 seconds. 4-Wheelers Davao’s Jodax Daquil had a total time of 14 minutes and 25.04 seconds for third overall.
Meanwhile, Bebot Cabahug dominated the novice division by posting a total time of five minutes and 25.9 seconds while Pedoy Cabahug claimed second place with a time of five minutes and 37.7 seconds. Botoy Gamallo rounded off the top three in the novice division by finishing off in five minutes and 48.3 seconds.
The second leg will be held in Koronadal City this February.
Last weekend’s race was sanctioned and handled by the National Association of Filipino Off-Roaders with the help of the Cebu Off-Roaders Club.
