Minglanilla makes Governor’s Cup championship round

MINGLANILLA formalized its entry to the championship round, while the Dalaguete AgriSaurs brightened their chances of securing the other finals seat in the South Division after they posted separate wins last Wednesday night in the quarterfinal round of the 2017 Cebu Governor’s Cup Inter-Cities/Municipalities Basketball Tournament at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
Minglanilla stayed unbeaten in the quarterfinals by dumping Samboan, 100-59, while Dalaguete showed tremendous composure playing in hostile environment as it nipped the host squad Talisay, 80-70.
Minglanilla improved to 4-0 (win-loss), while Dalaguete snatched its third victory against a single loss.
With the losses, Samboan and Talisay bowed out of playoff contention.
Dalaguete now sports the same record as the Toledo Energy. The two teams will take on each other in a crucial match on Saturday at the Dalaguete Sports Complex.
