SHERILIN Plastics claimed their second win in the CrossFit Subtero x Metro Cebu Basketball League Season 1 after they beat the Cebu Landmasters, 75-69, last weekend at the City Sports Club Cebu.
Daryle Tan and former Southwestern University guard Francis Ortega had 15 and 14 points, respectively, to buoy Sherilin Plastics to the hard-earned win, their second in three outings.
Justin Huang paced the Landmasters with 17 markers while Ervin Lopena chipped in 12. The loss, the team’s third straight, dropped them to the basement of the standings at 0-3.
In the other match, Crossfit Subtero even up their mark at 1-1 with an 86-74 victory over the League Sports Bar. Former University of San Carlos Warriors ace Sam Hermosa guided the team to the win with 26 points while Chase Cokaliong proved to be an able sidekick with 18 markers.
League Sports Bar dropped to 0-2 in spite of the efforts of Justin delos Reyes and Cid Cortes, who had 27 and 18, respectively.
