LAWYERS DRAW FLAK
Two other suspects in the killing of Mayor Gisela Boniel of Bien Unido have come out of hiding to clear their names, but netizens criticized the lawyers of suspects Wilson Hoylar and Brian Sayson for warning the police to leave their clients alone.
Garry Guantero wrote, “Maayo pa man ang kriminal naay manalipod.. katong mga inosente nabiktima zero pa ay walay kwarta (The criminals are lucky they have their defenders, while the innocent poor victims have no money).”
Another netizen, Rose Corales, wrote, “Grabi jud basta kwartahan no, pwede raman ma yano yano ug sulti na dili ma-arrest (It’s awful that as long as you’re rich, you can tell off anyone not to make arrests).”
Christian Ferer also wrote, “Mr. lawyer, I hope you know what you are doing there kai kung sayop ka ka dakong yabo (because if you’re wrong, that is a big mistake).”
