CEBUANO tennis sensation Arthur Craig Pantino looks to make up for his shocking quarterfinal exit last week when he competes in the PTT – International Tennis Federation (ITF) Week 2 championships which opens today in Thailand.
It can be recalled that the second-seed Pantino absorbed a 6-3, 6-3 loss to unseeded Sacchit Sharrma of India in the PTT – ITF week 1 last Friday.
“Maybe I need to be more patient on the rallies to have a better performance,” said the 16-year-old Pantino, who holds a 7-6 (win-loss) card in all ITF-sanctioned tournaments this year.
The former University of San Carlos ace will sit out in the opening round after earning a bye and will face the winner of the Sumpitpal Singh-Pawin Jirapoomdaje match on Wednesday (Philippine time).
