A dump truck driver was killed during a traffic altercation in Barangay Don Climaco, Toledo City, past midnight yesterday.
Dindo Labitad of Barangay Campo 4, Talisay City, driver of Arvin Gabison sand and gravel, sustained several gunshot wounds resulting to his death.
PO2 Joselito Genon of Toledo City Police Station said the victim, along with his nephew Jemeton Labitad, was heading towards Sapangdaku River to haul sand when he nearly hit the two motorcycle-riding men in the opposite direction.
An altercation then ensued that led to the shooting of Labitad, who was still sitting at the driver’s seat. The two culprits immediately fled.
