DA probes cause of livestock deaths

The Dept of Agriculture in Region 7 has started collecting tissue samples of dead livestock Cebu’s mountainous barangays to check if they died of hypothermia.

According to the National Meat Inspection Services – 7 Director Romeo Capa, they are still awaiting results.

Meanwhile, Capa also advised farmers not to slaughter dead cows as they run the risk of acquiring diseases from animals.
