Customs Cebu targets P12.4B in 2014

By: Jose Santino S. Bunachita January 28,2014 - 01:24 PM

Cebu Customs district collector Roberto Almadin told the weekly 888 News Forum that their collection target for 2014 of P12.4 billion is 43 percent higher compared to last year.

He said they have a target collection of P12.4 billion this year, or a 43% increase from last year. Appearing before the weekly news forum at the Marco Polo hotel, Almadin said that while he is happy with the trust given to him by the Bureau of Customs, he is also also worried that the bureau is not yet 100 percent corruption-free. To address corruption issues, he said he would focus on transparency in all transactions of the bureau in the Port of Cebu.

He also announced that the BOC in Cebu will continue accrediting members of the press covering the Bureau of Customs. The process he said will start on February 1.
