BIG TEAMS from Talisay City will take their turn at the limelight, as they take part in the City Hoops Season 2 this Sunday at the Vista Grande Gym in Bulacao.
Ten teams will battle for supremacy in the tournament, which will feature a group-stage, round-robin format.
Among the teams participating in the tournament is the ASPA squad that will be led by the likes of Vernon Anfone, Carl Valencia, and shooter Rorie Paspie. Most of ASPA’s players are the same ones, who led the Mavericks to the championship title of the inaugural season of City Hoops earlier this year.
Also joining is Team Princess, which will be spearheaded by Cebu First District representative Samsam Gullas. Gullas’ team will headline the names of former Cesafi players Enrico Llanto and Jefford Aldave.
Completing the list of teams competing in the tournament organized by Tough Gear Sportswear are ABI-Pascual, Filipino Homes, Talisay City Hall of Justice, Royal Brothers, and Aqua Uno. U Shape Up Gym and Spa, which is also the tournament’s co-presentor, as well as Vista Grande-A and Vista Grande-B, will also try to make their presence felt.
The top two teams in each group of five will advance to the knockout cross-over semifinals. The games will be played every Sunday starting at 10 am.
