MARCOS MONEY
Netizens were leery of former senator Bongbong Marcos paying P66 million to fund the recount of votes in his election protest against Vice President Leni Robredo.
A netizen named Heart Rob wrote, “66m para recount, gihatag pa lang na niyas mga pobre ma kuhaan unta gamay iyang mga sala (P66 million for recount, it would be better if he gave it to the poor so his sins would be reduced).”
Manny Santos also commented, “Kitang kita nyo naman kayang kayang mag bayad ni Marcos ng 64m easy easy easy! Palusot nya nanaman na yun daw yung sobrang perang campaign funds nong nakaraang eleksyon…ha ha ha mas yado mo ng ginagawang tanga mga Pilipino lalong lalo na yang mga supporters mo (You see how easy it was for Marcos to pay the P64 million. His excuse was that he got it from excess campaign funds in the past elections. Hahaha. He made the Filipino people, especially his supporters, stupid)!”
Another netizen named Cheska Lopez said, “Recount Recount para sa mga nanakaw na yaman ng mga (for the stolen wealth of the) Marcoses.”
