A MAN was arrested after trying to stab his friend in Barangay Inoburan, City of Naga on Wednesday evening.
Carmenito Bello allegedly attacked his neighbor and friend, Adonis Gepuit with a knife outside the victim’s house in Sitio Sambag, Barangay Inoburan.
PO1 Frank Alemento of Naga City Police Station said the suspect held a personal grudge against the victim.
Gepuit’s wife, who saw the suspect’s knife, quickly pulled his husband inside their home and locked the door.
The victim sought the help of the barangay tanod (barangay police officer) after Belo continued to bang their door.
Belo is now detained in Naga City jail pending the filing of frustrated murder charges against him.
