ROADSTAR, Juiceboost/Raphael Sports Café and Family Appliance grabbed the early lead in the standings as they put down their respective opponents in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball League last weekend at the CEC gym.
Roadstar defeated Mang Ondo, 89-82, behind a balanced scoring attack led by Michael Balankig who had 21.
Dreyfuss Ang and Rogelio Donayre pitched in 12 each while Mark Bacho and Neil Bracero combined for 21 markers.
Meanwhile, Family Appliance leaned on the 25-point explosion of Raymark Ong to take down Dewfoam, 66-44.
Christian Espada, on the other hand, played like a man on a mission, as he fired in 31 markers to push Juice Boost/Raphael Sports Café past Northern Star Trading/JPC’s Motorparts and Accessories, 84-75.
Espada got plenty of help as well as Kevin Mamac who chipped in 18 while Aljhune Areja and Jesse Magno contributed 11 each.
Roadstar, Juiceboost/Raphael Sports Café and Family Appliance currently own similar 2-0 win-loss records to pace the field.
In the other game, BCP Lubricants prevailed over Promate Generators/MG Machinery Supply, 77-62. Donald Ting had 16 to lead the way for BCP Lubricants even as Dean Dy Teves and Joseph James Yu had 12 each.
