The CEBU City Police Office vows to follow the rule of law in dealing with criminals.

CCPO Director Joel Doria said he reminded all Cebu City policemen to respect and adhere to the law in every police operation.

Doria said of the 2,493 individuals arrested in their Oplan Pokemon operations since August 2016 to this year, 15 death cases were recorded.

“Na imbitahan kami sa senate investigation about this, pero na patunayan naman naman na natin ito na legitimate police operations (We were invited by the Senate for an investigation, but we were able to prove that the operations were all legitimate),” Doria said.

Doria also urged the police to come up with better programs to counter illegal drugs and criminality in their areas.

“Ibat-ibat talaga and mga programs na dapat nating gawin dahil each sector has different problems (We really have to create different programs because each sector of the community has different problems),” said Doria.
