Lihuk Panaghiusa’s 3rd Scholars Run set
AROUND 400 participants are expected to join Lihuk Panaghiusa Inc.’s 3rd Scholars Run at The Vibo Place in Escario Street, Cebu City on Sept. 30.
Program manager Admirables Llanto said they are hoping to raise over P450,000 for this year’s 165 scholars.
Llanto said they were heavily dependent on foreign sponsors from Spain and Singapore until the economic crisis hit Europe. That affected the scholarship program in the elementary, high school, and college levels.
The footrace will offer 3 kilometer, 5k and 10k distances.
Registration fee is pegged at P400 for the 3K, P450 for the 5K, and P500 for the 10K.
Registration areas are at the Runnr Ayala Center Cebu, and the Cebu City Sports Center.
Lihuk Panaghiusa Inc. is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has been supporting the less fortunate through scholarships in the cities of Cebu and Talisay since 1995.
