Harley-Davidson improves to 7-1

HARLEY-Davidson solidified its hold of the top spot with an 87-75 win over the defending champions Cebu Landmasters in Division A of the 22nd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground last Sunday at the Magis Eagles Arena.

Five different players scored in double figures for Harley-Davidson to underscore its incredible depth.

Eroll Pastor led the way for the winning side with 17 points and seven rebounds while Travis Mantua added 14. Gabe Branzuela had 13, Elddie Cabahug chipped in 12 while Steven Co fired in 11 to get Harley Davidson their seventh win against a lone loss.

In the other Division A match, Gaisano Capital kept its flickering hopes for a finals berth alive with a 108-62 thumping of the Ateneo de Cebu Team B.
Gaisano Capital feasted on its youthful opponents and had six different players reach twin digits in scoring led by big man Bbert Gilo with 17 points and nine boards. Mavii Suarez and Jeremy Nacua each had 14, Anton Solon pumped in 13 while Ed Macasling and Patrick Go had 12 each to even Gaisano Capital’s record up at 4-4.

Ateneo de Cebu Team B remained winless in eight games.
