Netizens reacted to the death of Marie Alexi Bolongaita, who was found dead on Thursday with gunshot wounds on her chest inside her house in Sitio Nivel Hills, Barangay Busay, Cebu City.
A netizen named Jazer Atadero wrote, “The person who killed Maxi has been in and out of prison now, Patya dakpa na intawn na ninyo kai makabiktima pa nig lain na tao parihas ni (Arrest him before he will have another victim like) Maxi. We dont need more people like him im the society.”
Noel Mangapis wrote, “More reason why we should strive a drug free community and support the government in the anti-illegal campaigns.”
Another netizen Cholet Librando said, “Ka anugon gyud sa kinabuhi, beauty and brain nga pag ka bata, daku pa unta ug maabtan sa iyang kinabuhi, anugon gyud kaayo (It is such a waste of life; she was beauty and brain and had a bright future ahead of her. Such as waste) Justice for Maxi, her death is a call for all netizens to take action.”
Based on the initial investigation of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), Maxi was attacked and killed by a notorious robber identified as Reynante Mambiar, who is also an alleged drug dealer operating in the Barangay Busay area.
