DBTC, SHS-AdC eye semis berth in Cesafi football today
THE last two remaining matches in the secondary division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) football tournament will be played today at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
League leader Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) faces University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) at 10 a.m. while second ranked Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) takes on the University of San Carlos (USC)-BED at 8 a.m.
DBTC only needs a draw with USPF to clinch the No. 1 spot while SHS-AdC retains its No. 2 spot with a win over USC-BED. DBTC has nine points and a whopping +38 goal difference following its 27-0 win over University of San Jose-Recoletos.
SHS-AdC, the defending champion, has six points and just +8 on goal difference. It is just two goals ahead of USPF.
USC-BED is in fourth place with three points.
The semifinal round will be played tomorrow morning, while two collegiate matches played in the afternoon.
