10 nabbed in cockfighting raid in Danao City
Ten men were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Tuburan Sur, Danao City on Saturday afternoon.
Roel Dagatan, Tomasito Bueno, Jessie Hermoso, Edwin Barcoma, Ventura Gallardo, Marlo Juntilla, William Pasana, Gary Jopia, Rene Talisik and Jose Dela Cerna were caught at Sitio Guisok past 4 PM on Saturday.
Seized from the 10 suspects were two fighting cocks, a tent, six plastic chairs and cash worth P700.
Chief Insp. Gerard Pelare of Danao City police said the station has been receiving several complaints on illegal cockfighting in Tuburan Sur.
The suspects are now temporarily detained in Danao City jail.
