Cebuano netters vie in PPS-PEPP Dumaguete leg

THERE’S nothing tougher than winning on the road, and these six Cebuano netters hope to achieve such feat as they contend for top honors in the Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) regional tennis competition today in Dumaguete City.

Cebuanos competing in the four-day tennis festival are Gio Manito, Aaron Kevin Tabura and the Cordero siblings Pherl Bless (16), Hela Riza (11), Helarry John (14) and Phel Hazel (13).

Gio Manito and Aaron Kevin Tabura will compete in the 10-unisex and 12-under boys classifications, respectively.

Pherl Bless will be joining the 16-U and 18-U girls’ competition while the youngest Cordero Hela Riza vies in the 12-U and 14-U girls divisions.

Helarry John battles in the 14-U and 16-U boys categories while Phel Hazel will be gunning for a three-title romp as she joins the 14-U, 16-U and 18-U girls events.
