FOND MEMORIES

When Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña decided to shut down Abuhan Restaurant on F. Ramos St., netizens shared their fond memories of dining there.

A netizen named Pingres Awloy wrote, “When ever me and my brother have good grades every Cards Out, my parents will bring us here and celebrate. Their pochero is the best!”

Nikki Ferrer also wrote, “We always held our Christmas party here inside their humble function room, ma barag na lang mis ka daghan sa pagkaon. Pero grabi lami, nya barato ra pajud kaau (we would be stuffed by the large servings of food. But it was delicious and cheap). I will miss this place.”

However, Peter Ace said he experienced his first break-up in Abuhan: “Nag kaon mi atog pochero sa akung Gf before, nya ni kalit lang siyag sulti na magbuwag nadaw mi. Sakit pero hahay, wa natay ma himo… I hope mag open silag lain na branch (My girlfriend and I were eating pochero here before when she suddenly told me that it’s over between us. It hurts, but I cannot do anything about it. I hope they open another branch).”
