Katarina Rodriguez

THE LAST Binibining Pilipinas 2017 title holder is set to compete in the international stage.

Katarina Rodriguez is now in Egypt for the Miss Intercontinental 2017 competition which is slated on January 25.

Rodriguez has been updating her followers on her pageant activities through her Instagram posts and stories.

“Could not be any more excited to be representing not only myself but an entire country, my country in this once in a lifetime competition. Philippines, I love you,” Rodriguez said in an Instagram post as she showed the Philippine flag.

As she arrived in Egypt, Rodriguez also learned that two other candidates are half Filipino. These are Raquel Ibasco representing USA and Kumi Miyamae of Japan.

Other Instagram stories shared by Rodriguez include her roommate Lee Su Jin from Korea and taking the gym.

The Philippines is hopeful for Rodriguez to win the last crown for 2017.

Before she joined Binibining Pilipinas last year, Rodriguez made it to the top three of Asia’s Next Top Model in 2014.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2017 queens who competed in the international stage last year are Rachel Peters (top 10, Miss Universe), Mariel de Leon (non-winner, Miss International), Elizabeth Clenci (second runner-up, Miss Grand International), Chanel Olive Tomas (top 10, Miss Supranational), and Nelda Ibe (first runner-up, Miss Globe).
