Fourteen persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Minglanilla and Danao City on Saturday and Sunday.
Ramila Seloria from Sitio Lower Lipata Barangay Linao in Minglanilla town in southern Cebu was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation on Sunday at past 11 p.m.
The authorities also arrested Jolito Apilan, 47; Fernan Siason, 29; Adriano Anayon, 30; Jesser Cantonao, 37; and Arman Tantano, 27; after they were caught in possession of three sachets of suspected shabu, which was bought from Selaria.
Confiscated from Seloria were 9 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P7,788.
Meanwhile, operatives from Danao City police arrested eight persons in three separate anti-drug operations on Saturday and Sunday.
In Barangay Tabok, Danao City in northern Cebu, the police arrested Ramon Dumayak III, 34; Radelio Jose Saniel, 38; Jimbo Arisgado, 31; and Niel Perez, 28.
SPO1 Arnold Labini of Danao City Police Station said that Dumayak was the subject of their operation.
Recovered from the suspects were 24 sachets of suspected shabu worth P14,000 and the P200 pesos marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
At 1 a.m. on Sunday, Danao City police also arrested Mylene Mata, 33, of Barangay Looc and Daniel Emeliano Jr., 28, of Barangay Poblacion after they were caught with 13 sachets of suspected shabu during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Poblacion.
Also at about the same time, Danao City police also arrested Jenneveb Son, 36, and Rolly Galo, 40, when they were caught with 14 sachets of suspected shabu along Juan Luna St. in Barangay Looc.
SPO1 Labini said that the arrested suspects were newly identified peddlers operating in the city.
