Australian Champs Barden and De-Fonseka return to Cebu for DanceSport Dance Camp

AFTER a successful stint as trainers in last year’s DanceSport Dance Camp, Australian Champions Brodie Barden and Lana Skrgic De-Fonseka are returning to Cebu once again to be among the top-notch trainers in the DanceSport Dance Camp Cebu 2018 to be held on May 3, 4 and 5 at the Mountain View Nature’s Park along Roosevelt Road, Sitio Garahe, Barangay Busay, Cebu City.

Barden and De-Fonseka got the silver medal for the Adult Standard category in the World DanceSport Federation Cebu Open last September 10, 2016.

They have gained friends with the DanceSport Team members in Cebu and have fallen in love with the city since then.

They then returned to Cebu to help train youth DanceSport athletes and amateurs in May 2017, saying that they find fulfillment and meaning in helping train the young athletes.

Barden and De-Fonseka are the highest ranking DanceSport athletes in Australia and are rated 17th in the world. Among their latest wins were Champion in Adult Latin for the February 25, 2017 Open in Dalfsen, Netherlands, Champion in Adult Latin for the December 10, 2017 Open in Melbourne, Australia and Silver in the Adult Ten Dance Category in the March 3, 2018 Open in Mellieha, Malta.

They are looking forward to meeting the DanceSport community here in Cebu once again.

The DanceSport Dance Camp Cebu is not limited to Cebu’s athletes but is open to all students, school representatives, university Physical Education teachers, amateur DanceSport athletes, social dancing or any dancing enthusiasts with a level as beginner, intermediate, advanced or competitive where either single dancers or dancing couples can join.

The camp consists of four days and three nights of intensive dance instructions to hone one’s dance skills regardless of level in both Latin American and Modern Standard disciplines and DanceSport and in social ballroom dance.

Aside from Barden and De-Fonseka, the Philippines’ top trainers will also be on hand.

DanceSport Team Cebu City, the organizers of this Camp, is inviting all School/University/Colleges MAPEH teachers to this camp. Those who plan to take the NC II may check on the Camp for basic figures and enhancement courses. Discounts are given exclusively for teachers.
