ALLAN Albindo of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu kept his unbeaten record intact with a lopsided unanimous decision victory against hometown fighter Christian Campoy in ‘Battle in Dapitan’ kickboxing card last Tuesday at the Dapitan Cultural Center in Dapitan City.

The Cebuano ward of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu founder Master Benigno ‘Ekin’ Caniga Jr., rocked Tubigon several times with an assortment of kicks and punches, but Campoy showed nerves of steel in withstanding Albindo’s onslaught.

Albindo, who is also an amateur mixed martial artist, failed to score a knockout but almost did when he caught Campoy with a vicious knee to the face that wobbled the latter’s knees in the final seconds of the fight.

Still, the Cebuano fighter went to finish the final round with a dominating performance.

“I am very happy with Allan’s performance,” said Master Ekin. “He really dominated the fight from start to finish. His opponent was only there to survive.”

With his victory, Albindo stretched his record to kickboxing record to 4-0 (win-loss).
